Kirsten and Brandon Dickerson are advocates for living with intention.

After years of friends and colleagues asking to join them on their journeys, they have decided to start The Fernweh Studio as a way to share their passion for thoughtful living and sustainable travel. The Dickerson's have been married over 20 years and traveled to more than 40 countries between the two of them to film documentaries, volunteer with humanitarian outreaches, and develop artisan partnerships. They lived in Berkeley and Hollywood before moving to Austin, Texas. In 2017 they relocated to a historical German town in the beautiful Texas Hill Country after a season of embracing tiny house living in vintage trailers with their children. As founders of Green Acres Glamping Retreat outside Austin, they welcomed guests to unplug and refresh while staying in their yurts, Airstreams, and an eco-prefab cabin. Their homestead served as the set for Brandon’s fourth film “Amanda & Jack Go Glamping” where Kirsten was the production designer. (Avail on Netflix)

Kirsten has been a thought leader for social business and the ethical fashion movement since 2008 as well as a leader for multiple nonprofits that focus on empowering women and children to break the cycle of poverty. In 2008 she co-founded Raven + Lily, an ethical fashion and lifestyle brand that employs thousands of female artisans around the world through fair trade principles. She has been the creative director for many of Brandon’s film projects and designed multiple storefronts and home interiors with a focus on ethical sourcing and design.

Brandon is an internationally awarded filmmaker and storyteller. Beginning with a career at the helm of hundreds of music videos and commercials for high profile stars and clients, Brandon shifted his focused to directing feature films and documentaries in 2010. Brandon was the founding lead pastor of Ecclesia Hollywood and recently served as a Director of Laity Lodge - an ecumenical retreat center in the Texas Hill Country. He is passionate to share stories that are good, true, and beautiful—whether that be on the page, stage, or at twenty-four frames per second.

Kirsten and Brandon are both available for speaking and consulting. Please contact: info@thefernwehstudio.com for more details.
